Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Exploryn (available at exploryn.us), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

These terms apply to all users, including free tier users and paying subscribers. "Exploryn", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the company operating exploryn.us.

Exploryn is an AI-powered 3D globe map for discovering hidden gems, natural wonders, historic sites, restaurants, and other points of interest across the United States. The service includes:

• •An interactive 3D globe map with 10,000+ curated US locations
• •Location discovery across 7 categories (Nature, Architecture, Restaurants, Museums, Landmarks, Historical, Hidden Gems)
• •AI-generated location stories and personalized recommendations (paid tiers)
• •Road trip planning and builder tools (paid tiers)
• •Saved collections and bookmarks

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.

To access most features, you must create an account using a valid email address or a Google account. You must be at least 13 years old.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at legal@exploryn.us.

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then.

Refunds: Annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable. However, if you cancel within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase or annual renewal, you may request a full refund by emailing legal@exploryn.us.

Refunds are processed at our discretion for circumstances outside this window (e.g., technical issues preventing access to the service). We are a small team and will work with you in good faith.

Exploryn's platform: The Exploryn application, including its design, code, AI systems, curated location database, and branding, is owned by Exploryn and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the platform without written permission.

Your content: Any content you create within Exploryn — saved locations, collections, trip names, and notes — belongs to you. By using the service, you grant Exploryn a limited license to store and display this content in order to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your data.

Feedback: If you share feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Exploryn without obligation to compensate you.

Exploryn uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to generate personalized adventure itineraries, location stories, Drive Mode suggestions, and route recommendations. Please keep in mind:

• !AI-generated adventures are suggestions, not authoritative guides. Always use your own judgment.
• !Suggested locations may be temporarily closed, seasonally inaccessible, or have changed since our data was last updated.
• !AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies. Verify conditions before visiting.
• !Drive Mode suggestions are for discovery purposes only — always follow traffic laws and drive safely.
• !Exploryn is not responsible for outcomes resulting from following AI-generated itineraries or suggestions.

Certain features of Exploryn require access to your device's location:

• •Nearby discovery — showing hidden gems close to your current position
• •Drive Mode — surfacing gems along your route as you travel
• •AI adventure generation — creating itineraries starting from your location

Location access is always optional and must be explicitly granted through your device settings. We only access location while the app is in use — never in the background. We do not store your GPS coordinates persistently. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Exploryn is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• •The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
• •Location information is complete, accurate, or up to date
• •AI-generated content is accurate or suitable for any particular purpose
• •The service will meet your specific requirements

Location data is curated for discovery purposes. Always verify access, hours, and conditions before visiting a location. Exploryn is not responsible for your physical safety when visiting any location.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exploryn and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Exploryn is limited to the amount you paid to Exploryn in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Exploryn shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Idaho, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

For users outside the United States, this does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights granted by your local law.
