Though the Newseum closed in 2019, its legacy lives on in the permanent installation of its Pennsylvania Avenue facade: the five freedoms of the First Amendment carved in 74 feet of Tennessee marble, 50 state newspaper front pages updated daily in outdoor panels, and a Berlin Wall section still standing on the sidewalk. The building is now home to Johns Hopkins University.
