"What IS the Thing?" — billboards along I-10 in Arizona have teased drivers for 60 years with this question. Pay $1 to enter a series of corrugated metal sheds filled with Nazi staff cars, dinosaur models, and antique torture devices before reaching the actual "Thing" — a mummified figure behind glass that may be a taxidermied hoax, an alien, or a genuine ancient mummy. Nobody officially says.
